La Pelosa Beach (Stintino)

La Pelosa is one of the most famous and crowded beaches in all of Sardinia. Just look at some photos of its sea to understand why! Indeed, La Pelosa beach boasts a crystal clear sea, calm and very shallow waters. So to beat the crowds, we hit the beach at sunrise when there were only very few people.

Porto Giunco Tower (Villasimius)

The tower of Porto Giunco can be reached after a short path of about 500m from the parking lot. Also, you can enjoy a stunning view of the long beach of Porto Giunco from the tower. In fact, we easily found a perfect spot a little further down from the tower.

Capocchia d’ù purpu Beach (La Maddalena)

The translation of this beach is “octopus head” and is located in the east part of La Maddalena Island. We recommend you to reach this beach on foot as the road is bumpy for a car. So you arrive at the beach after about ten minutes of walking. This way you will easily find a large rock to climb up and take some nice photos.

Castelsardo

On the way from Stintino to Palau, we made a stop in this colorful town. In fact, your Ig feed will love the colored houses of Castelsardo with their pastel tones. Our favorite spot is the waterfront with a beautiful view of the old town and the castle above. Also, from the castle, you’ll find beautiful views for your photos.

Cala Napoletana (Caprera)

This wild beach boasts an amazing sea and is located in the north-west of the island of Caprera. It can be reached after about 45 minutes from the parking lot. Due to its small size, we strongly recommend that you arrive at the beach before 9 am. Especially if you want to take some spectacular photos in the water with no one around. Also, we found several great spots for a photo, just look around the beach.

We have been to this beach several times during our stay on the island of La Maddalena. So when you get to the beach look to the right and you’ll see a rock to climb. In fact, above the rock, you can enjoy a beautiful sunset view over the whole beach. Plus it’s a perfect spot for a photo as you can see!

Capo Caccia viewpoint (Alghero)

On the way to Neptune’s Grotto, we found this spectacular viewpoint. In fact, we recommend you not to miss this spot if you are in the Alghero area. This whole area in the Porto Conte Regional Natural Park is really suggestive. Do you know the name of the rock in front of us in the photo? It’s the island of Foradada, a stunning rock with a partially submerged cave.
