Lama Monachile is the most famous beach in Polignano and probably the most photographed in Puglia. This pebble beach is located between two high cliffs with buildings on the top. The best place for your photo is definitely from the bridge. Moreover, just go down the stairs to the beach for other photographic corners. Lama Monachile beach is often crowded after 10 am. So try to get there as early as possible in the morning if you want your shot with no one around. Early morning is our favorite time of day there when the sun rises over the buildings on the right.

The old town of Monopoli

Monopoli is a very nice town located only 7km from Polignano a Mare. For this reason, if you visit Polignano, take a walk in the old town of Monopoli. Most of the spots are located between Lungomare Santa Maria and Via San Vito. In fact, you’ll find several insta-worthy corners for your photos. In addition to this, the whole old town is full of restaurants and bars in full Apulian style. We recommend that you visit these places early in the morning for your photos because they are very crowded in the afternoon.

This is our favorite spot in Polignano a Mare! From this huge rock platform, you’ll enjoy a stunning view of the buildings of Polignano perched on its cliff. To reach this platform simply ask for the statue of Domenico Modugno then walk down the stairs onto the rocks. The best moment for your shot is at sunrise because at sunset the cliff on the right is partially shaded. In addition, the platform is crowded with tourists and locals in the summer. However, this place is huge, so it’s almost impossible for it to be very crowded.

Trulli of Alberobello

The Trulli of Alberobello are one of the most important landmarks of Puglia. You definitely don’t have to miss them! In addition, the entire area of the Trulli has been named a UNESCO World Heritage site. Trulli are limestone houses with pyramidal roofs typical of this region of Italy. This town with its typical buildings is visited every day by tourists from all over the world. For this reason, Alberobello is often crowded especially in spring-summer.
